thanks to the GQ Region GFA members who responded to the survey which was aimed at
assessing the understanding/awareness of GFA members of the GFA's web sites. |

| A
large amount of work has in recent years been put into setting up two separate web sites
... the Gliding Australia website as the public face of gliding in Australia aimed at
non-GFA members (www.soaring.org.au) ... and the
traditional GFA website as a resource area for GFA members (www.gfa.org.au). |

| The
results of the survey show clearly that there is a lack of understanding of the existence
of and the purpose of the Gliding Australia website ... only 1 of the 80 GFA members who
responded to Q7 was aware of the GFA’s desire to have Clubs stop promoting the GFA
website to non-GFA members by having them directed to the Gliding Australia web site. |

There is obviously a communication challenge to be addressed. |
